Each subteam is guided by mentors with real-world experience. NOTE: If you are joining the team and are unsure of which to choose, we will let you explore all of them.

TERRESTRIAL DIVISION

MECHANICAL

• CAD: Computer-Aided Design using onshape to create metal stock, and structural design.
• Fabrication and assembly: Machining aswell as working with drive trains, pnuematics, and motor controllers.
• Testing: Iterating mechanisms under realistic conditions to meet durability standards under competition stress.

SOFTWARE

• Robot codebase: Writing in industry-standard frameworks such as Java with the WPILib.
• Control loops: Implement PID loops and motion profiling (feedback systems) for accurate robot control.
• Autonomus operation: Develop computer vision through autonomous pathing routines by managing sensor data through high-speed machine movement with up-to-centimeter accuracy.

ELECTRICAL

• System wiring: Designing motor controller connections.
• Wire management: Cable routing and organization standards to maintain reliable power.
• Diagnostics: Troubleshooting electrical faults.

BUSINESS DIVISION

FUNDRAISING AND GRANTS

Write compelling grant applications, lead fundraising campaigns, and communicate impact to potential donors.

MARKETING AND MEDIA

Manage public presence: through social media, event promotion, community outreach, and recruitment campaigns.

LEADERSHIP

Take leadership roles such as divison leads, project managers, and officer mentor guidance.
